Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety performance on a large Data Centre project in Milan, Italy for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor. The successful candidate will provide strategic EHS leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a strong safety culture across the region.

Responsibilities include leading EHS teams, monitoring KPIs and audits, conducting investigations, and delivering EHS training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field.

EHS Manager - Milan

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety performance on a large Data Centre project in Milan, Italy for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor. The successful candidate will provide strategic EHS leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a strong safety culture across the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support EHS teams across multiple projects and locations


• Monitor regional EHS performance, KPIs, audits, incidents and compliance


• Ensure consistent implementation of the companys EHS Management System


• Lead serious incident investigations and oversee corrective and preventative actions


• Conduct regional audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives


• Provide EHS guidance to project teams, operational leadership, clients and contractors


• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation


• Develop and deliver EHS training, initiatives and safety improvement programmes

Requirements

• An EU Passport is essential for this role.


• Degree/Diploma Level 8 or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related discipline


• 10+ years EHS experience within construction, engineering, M&E or related industries


• Previous senior EHS leadership experience across multiple projects or locations


• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Construction Regulations and CDM


• Experience leading audits, incident investigations and EHS management systems


• Excellent leadership, communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills
