Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group seeks an EHS Advisor to support the Grangecastle on-site safety program for our data centre project. The role is hands-on, ensuring compliance with health, safety and welfare policies and with the company safety management system.

On-site duties will anchor safety performance and continuous improvement, with opportunities to work across Europe. The role is based on a Grangecastle site in Ireland, with potential to move to other European locations as projects advance.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety Diploma or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Support development of safety documentation and conduct site audits.
• Deliver site inductions and advise on PPE requirements.
• Assist project teams in preparing method statements, maintaining records, and supporting investigations.
• Manage Toolbox Talks and site emergency planning, and advise on first aid and training needs.
• Provide safety reports and contribute to the safety file for project handover.

EHS Advisor - Grangecastle - General contractor

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Grangecastle, working in Dornan's General Contracting division and with further opportunity to move to one of our European locations, this is an exciting opportunity to work on one of our data centre projects as an EHS Advsior, supporting the delivery of our EHS strategy. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will monitor Dornan's safety performance and advise on compliance with our health, safety and welfare policies and the company safety management system. This role will be based on site in Grangecastle. There are further opportunities to work on dc projects into mainland Europe after this.

Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the development of safety documentation, conduct regular site audits and inspections, and ensure findings are actioned in line with company policy.
• Deliver site inductions, advise on PPE requirements, and ensure subcontractor safety documentation meets legislative and best-practice standards.
• Assist project teams in preparing method statements, maintaining statutory inspection records, and supporting incident and accident investigations.
• Manage Toolbox Talks and site emergency planning, while advising on first aid, training needs, and contributing to the final safety file for project handover.
• Provide safety reports as required, promote strong safety culture across site operations, and complete additional reasonable tasks assigned by senior management.
