Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail with a proactive learning mindset.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and ability to manage data accurately.
• Internship or placement experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing or regulated industry.
• Basic knowledge of Irish safety and environmental legislation.
• Awareness of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and GMP principles and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety: support implementation and continuous improvement of site EH&S policies, procedures and standards.
• Assist with workplace risk assessments, hazard identification and routine safety inspections.
• Participate in incident reporting, investigation and corrective action follow-up.
• Support contractor safety management, permit-to-work activities and emergency response exercises.
• Track and trend safety metrics including observations, near misses, incidents and action closure.
• Environmental Compliance: assist with monitoring programs, waste management and recycling initiatives.
• Maintain environmental permits, registers and compliance documentation; track KPIs such as energy, water, waste and emissions data.
• Regulatory & Management Systems: support ISO 14001/ISO 45001 activities and GMP documentation.
• Training & Safety Culture: assist with EHS induction training and safety campaigns.
• Development Opportunities: exposure to EHS digital systems, data analytics and KPI dashboards.
