Job summary

The Door Talent is recruiting for an Early Years Educator on a full-time basis in County Mayo. You will join a long-standing, supportive team delivering high-quality education to children aged 2 to 5 years.

Depending on experience, you may start as an Early Years Educator or as a Room Leader with leadership responsibilities. The role offers a stable, well-run environment and clear opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 6+ ECE qualification is required.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and curriculum frameworks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient, and professional approach.
• All required background checks as per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and evaluation of a play-based, emergent curriculum.
• Create a warm, safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Carry out observations, assessments and required documentation.
• Support each child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-prepared classroom.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Coordinate the preschool room and daily routines (if additional experience).
• Support and guide the team of educators (if additional experience).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (if additional experience).

Your Role
