Kids Inc. in Swords, Ireland is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator for a full-time, permanent role. The position involves creating a safe, engaging environment and supporting children's development through play-based activities.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education, or a DCEDIY-recognised qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Positive, reliable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.
• Observe children's interests, document progress, and plan activities building on learning.
• Support children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development.
• Supervise meals and daily routines; build relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate observations and records per programme requirements.
• Ensure a clean, safe, well-organised environment per policies and regulations.

We are currently seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About The Role

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children


• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based experiences


• Observing children's interests and development, documenting progress, and planning activities that build on their learning


• Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development


• Supervising and engaging with children during meals and daily routines


• Building positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and colleagues


• Maintaining accurate observations and records in line with programme requirements


• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised environment in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations

What We're Looking For

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education, or a qualification recognised by the DCEDIY


• Fluent spoken and written English


• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• A genuine passion for working with young children


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team


• Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working in a Creche or Early Years setting


• First Aid training


• Manual Handling training


• Food Safety training
