Job summary

Childcare Minds -Pugwash Bay Ltd. is seeking a passionate and caring AIM Support Worker to provide individualised support to children in a crèche setting.

You will help create a safe, happy and inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to participate, develop and reach their potential. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week during term time over a 38-week period, with an hourly rate of €15.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI/FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Early Learning and Care (or equivalent recognised childcare qualification) is required.
• Previous experience in a crèche or early years setting is desirable.
• Experience supporting children who may require additional support with development, participation and inclusion is desirable.
• Strong commitment to child-centred care, inclusion, safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to children who may require additional support with development, participation and inclusion.
• Support children's individual needs, interests, strengths and abilities.
• Work closely with educators to support children during play, learning activities and daily routines.
• Build warm, positive and responsive relationships with children.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social development.
• Work collaboratively with educators, management and families to support positive outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
• Follow service policies and procedures and participate in mandatory training.

Key Requirements

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Positive, enthusiastic, and supportive attitude

About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and caring AIM Support Worker to join our team and provide individualised support to children within our crèche. You will help create a safe, happy and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to participate, develop and reach their potential. Working closely with educators and families, you will support each child's individual needs and development in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €15.00 per hour
