Job summary

The Radisson bLU Hotel Athlone, part of the iNUA Collection, is seeking a passionate Swim Teacher to join our team. You will deliver all Swimming Programmes in a safe, welcoming environment and report to the Head of Swimming.

Responsibilities include teaching to the Swim syllabus, planning schemes of work, monitoring progress, maintaining the pool area, and upholding health and safety standards while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Swim Teacher Level 2 Qualification.
• Fully qualified and certified Lifeguard is essential.
• Certified in Basic First Aid.
• Have experience leading group fitness classes.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are enthusiastic, patient, and able to motivate individuals.
• Are a team player with a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Teach lessons in line with The Fitness Club to Swim syllabus and guidelines.
• Ensure best practice and delivery is followed when teaching all lessons private or group.
• Provide high standard customer service when dealing with queries/concerns.
• Complete a scheme of work, session plans and evaluations for each class.
• Monitor and record swimmer progress.
• Maintain the pool environment, setting up and taking down equipment as required.
• Apply Health and Safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Provide accurate safety information to customers as requested.
• Ensure equipment is in working order and safe for use prior to each session.
• Report safeguarding concerns immediately to the Child Protection Officer.
• Attend training courses and continuously improve instructor knowledge.
