Job summary

Stupa Restaurant Waterford is looking for a part-time Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team with cleanliness, organization and basic prep. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly and in line with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, maintaining floors and surfaces, assisting with basic prep, and helping with deliveries. A friendly team environment and flexible availability are required; previous kitchen experience is a bonus but not required.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; training provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, surfaces and storage areas.
• Empty bins and ensure proper waste disposal and recycling.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling, chopping, portioning).
• Unload deliveries and store ingredients properly.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and follow sanitation procedures.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
