Job summary

BaxterStorey in Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Porter to help maintain a well organised, clean kitchen and support our team in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. You will handle dishwashing, surface cleaning, basic food prep, and inventory tasks, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but an understanding of the role is required.
• Catering/kitchen experience would be a plus.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas; empty rubbish bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Food Preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks (peeling, chopping, slicing).
• Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Compliance with Health and Safety – Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen; ensure equipment is in good working order.
