Job summary

Focus Ireland is seeking a Community Fundraising Officer in Dublin to drive income and community engagement as part of the National Community Fundraising team. This full-time role supports housing-focused fundraising strategies and local outreach.

You will manage campaigns, develop materials, and build partnerships with community groups and volunteers, with occasional evening/weekend work expected.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in fundraising, marketing, communications, multimedia, or a related discipline.
• Experience in fundraising, marketing, or a relevant field is required.
• Event management experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Income Generation: Increase income from third-party events, individual fundraisers, and community groups by building relationships and supporting volunteers.
• Campaign Development: Collaborate with campaigns team to deliver regional fundraising campaigns and recruit participants for national events.
• Promotion & Engagement: Promote Focus Ireland’s work through national initiatives and locally organised events.
• Media & Communications: Work with Communications Team to maximise local media coverage and raise awareness.
• Creative Materials: Develop fundraising materials and coordinate with external suppliers.
• Volunteer Management: Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteer committees to deliver activities.
• Compliance & General: Ensure activities comply with policies and undertake duties as assigned.
