Job summary
Evergreen Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Carlingford Nursing Home on Dundalk Road, Carlingford. The role covers daily cleaning of resident areas, laundry duties, and assisting with kitchen cleanup while maintaining high cleanliness and infection control standards.
Flexibility to work 36+ hours per week, Monday to Sunday shifts is required. The successful candidate will be fluent in English, compassionate, and able to work independently within a friendly team.

- Fluent English and ability to work flexibly.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of general areas and residents’ rooms.
- Proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Taking delivery of goods and storing them.
- Assisting with the cleaning of the kitchen in the evenings.
- Laundry duties include washing and drying residents' clothes, bedsheets, and towels; folding and putting items away; and ironing as required.
- Laundry and housekeeping shifts are scheduled on separate days.

The position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Experience in a similar role and knowledge of HACCP is preferable.
Training will be provided for the successful candidate. The ideal candidate will have good organisation skills and ability to work on their own initiative.
High standards of cleanliness and infection control are a priority for the home, so a keen awareness of their importance is essential.
The candidate must be fully fluent in English at a conversational level and have full flexibility to work 36+ hours per week, including shifts from Monday to Sunday.
Shifts available Monday - Sunday: Housekeeping from 8.30 - 18.00 & Laundry from 8.00 - 16.30.
