Job summary

VetSit Limited in Dublin is seeking a Dog Boarding & Daycare Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our boarding and daycare facilities. You will oversee staffing, rotas, workflows, resource allocation, staff supervision and training, and ensure animal welfare, health and safety across sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Business Management or related field
• Experience in business or operational management within animal-care or veterinary setting
• Experience supervising or coordinating staff and workflows
• Knowledge of animal welfare, hygiene, health and safety standards
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate the daily operation of dog boarding and daycare facilities.
• Prepare staff rotas, allocate duties and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Supervise operational staff and participate in recruitment, induction and training.
• Implement and monitor procedures relating to animal welfare, hygiene, health and safety and facility standards.
• Coordinate stock, equipment, supplies and resources for operations.
• Monitor facility capacity, staffing requirements and service standards.
• Manage day-to-day operational issues and identify workflow improvements.
• Maintain operational records and prepare reports on staffing, resources and operations.
• Liaise with senior management regarding staffing needs and capacity.
