Job summary

Bentley Systems seeks a Software Engineer to own and evolve Bentley's documentation platform. Based in Dublin with hybrid work, you will build and maintain customer-facing web experiences, integrate cloud services, automate pipelines, and partner with teams to improve content publishing and AI-assisted features.

You will work across frontend, backend, and automation codebases using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Azure DevOps pipelines, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS in production web apps.
• Experience with backend development or automation using Python.
• Comfortable across frontend, backend, and automation codebases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell preferred).
• Understanding of build, deploy, and release workflows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs into web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted services and APIs; AWS a plus.
• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and influence a highly visible customer-facing platform.
• Work across frontend, cloud services, and DevOps automation.
• Help shape modern search and AI-powered documentation experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to influence platform standards.
• Debug issues spanning frontend, APIs, backend, and infrastructure.
• Maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for builds, validation, and publishing.
• Create automation using Python and PowerShell.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and release processes.
• Integrate documentation into build and release workflows.
• Provide tooling and guidance for consistent publishing.
