Job summary

Believ seeks a Head of Traffic Orders & Public Consent to lead the national strategy for securing EV charging bays. You will drive the process, cost efficiency, and cross-regional delivery, partnering with build directors and local authorities.

This is a high-visibility, senior role reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. You will influence public consultations, manage objections, and advocate for streamlined statutory processes while coordinating with product, data, and delivery teams to

Qualifications

• Deep, practical expertise in traffic order processes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and related regulations.
• Track record securing parking-related orders in contested environments.
• Senior stakeholder management with local government.
• Experience in public consultation and handling objections, including hostile meetings and local media.
• Ability to negotiate, amend, or walk away from sites.
• Proven record of improving a process to be faster, cheaper, or more reliable.

Responsibilities

• Own Believ’s national approach to securing dedicated EV charging bays.
• Set strategy, build capability, and be accountable for volume, speed and cost across portfolios.
• Collaborate with Regional Build Directors and build squads.
• Serve as Believ’s external voice on traffic orders with local authorities and sector bodies.
• Engage with DfT and OZEV on reform of the process.
