Job summary

Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, seeks a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) for a vibrant nursing home in Waterford. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centered care and leading a skilled care team in a compliant, compassionate environment.

Active NMBI registration with a Level 6+ managerial qualification and 3+ years post-registration experience in older persons' care are required.

Qualifications

• Active NMBI registration is required.
• Recognised managerial qualification at Level 6 or higher.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or related field.
• 3+ years post-registration experience in older persons' care or nursing home settings.

Responsibilities

• As DON, lead a dedicated team and foster a caring, compliant environment.

What You’ll Bring:

• Qualifications: Active NMBI registration and a recognized managerial qualification (minimum Level 6).
• Post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years post-registration in older persons' care or nursing home settings, with a solid understanding of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
• Skills: Strong communication abilities, compassion, and a collaborative spirit. Familiarity with IT systems and knowledge of home support applications (NHSS/Fair Deal) is essential.
