Job summary

EL Engineering Consultants Ltd is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our multidisciplinary engineering function across mechanical, electrical and automation disciplines. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape strategy, govern standards and strengthen client relationships.

The role demands leadership of senior engineers, development of scalable processes, and delivery of high-quality, energy-efficient projects in pharma, medical devices and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading engineering teams or functions.
Experience in technical, project-based environments.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to develop and implement engineering strategy and governance.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical, electrical and automation teams across projects.
Develop and implement engineering strategy aligned with growth plans.
Define engineering standards, tools, systems and reporting structures.
Provide senior technical leadership and ensure robust, coordinated outputs.
Strengthen client relationships and represent the business technically.
Collaborate with project management, construction management and commercial teams.
