Job summary

Payward Europe Solutions Ltd (PESL) is hiring a Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Compliance to lead its AML/CFT framework across the EU. The role reports to senior management and the PESL Board, with direct access to the entity's CEO.

The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker, leveraging technology including AI to automate compliance while meeting Irish and EU regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in AML/CFT, financial crime compliance, or regulatory compliance within a regulated financial services firm.
• Experience as PCF-52 with a CASP or financial services firm is required.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and EU AML/CFT legislation and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the firm’s AML/CFT compliance framework in line with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
• Act as the senior accountable officer for AML/CFT governance, oversight, and escalation.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review AML/CFT policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee the firm’s enterprise-wide AML/CFT risk assessment and ensure risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and reported.
• Design, implement and oversee policies for AML/CFT compliance under Regulation (EU) 2024/1624.
• Partner with the business to bring products and services to market quickly.
• Implement an automated, data-driven compliance program.
• Ensure robust controls for CDD/EDD, ongoing monitoring, screening, and suspicious activity escalation.
• Oversee the firm's suspicious transaction reporting processes and regulatory reporting.
