Job summary

KBRA Europe Limited seeks a Director to join the Funds Ratings team in the Dublin office. You will lead new issuance rating processes, interact with issuers, prepare rating memos, and oversee ongoing monitoring while mentoring junior staff.

The role spans complex multi-asset fund strategies, with strong Excel modeling and collaboration across KBRA sectors. You will contribute to industry leadership, attend conferences, and develop analytical tools to standardize rating approaches in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Math related fields.
• Eight or more years of work experience in fund finance, investing, or structured finance.
• Experience with investment strategies in private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and asset-based lending facilities.
• Understanding of fund finance products like subscription lines, NAV financing, or other fund finance products.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel to build and analyze financial models.

Responsibilities

• Lead new issuance rating process evaluating capital structure, legal protections, collateral quality, cash flow dynamics, and manager experience.
• Interact with issuers in due-diligence meetings to assess investment process and risk management.
• Prepare rating memos and new issuance reports and present recommendations to rating committees.
• Lead ongoing monitoring and surveillance of outstanding issuances and ratings.
• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases for analysis.
• Collaborate with KBRA experts across sectors to evaluate multi-asset strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members to develop analytical and professional skills.
• Develop analytical tools to standardize rating approaches and streamline processes.
• Represent KBRA at industry conferences, panels, and investor meetings.
• Assist with in-depth credit research and publications on funds.
