Job summary

BNY Mellon in Dublin seeks a Director, Fund Accounting for Investor Services Client Platform to lead NAV production, valuations and controls for a major global client. You will partner with global product, technology, risk, middle office and client teams to deliver a consistently excellent service experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BNY EMEA Fund Accounting Operations organisation for a major client, providing strategic and day‑to‑day leadership to NAV production, pricing, controls and client deliverables.
• Act as EMEA Fund Accounting Operations owner for a single client and build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence across the Fund Accounting lifecycle and oversee daily NAV production and valuation controls.
• Collaborate with Global Product, Technology, Risk, Middle Office and Functional Utility to drive alignment and process controls.
• Lead onboarding, conversions and product launches; oversee readiness for new funds and complex structures.
• Strengthen the control environment, manage audits, and remediate operational risk themes.
• Champion automation and digital transformation to reduce manual touchpoints and enhance resilience.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Lead the BNY EMEA Fund Accounting Operations organisation for BNY strategically significant client Provide strategic and day‑to‑day leadership to high‑performing teams responsible for NAV production, pricing, controls, and client deliverables for a major global client.
• Act as EMEA Fund Accounting Operations owner for single client Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, influence decision‑making, and ensure delivery of a consistently excellent service experience.
• Drive operational excellence across the Fund Accounting lifecycle Oversee daily NAV production and valuation controls.
• Partner with global internal functions Collaborate with Global Product, Technology, Risk, Middle Office and Functional Utility stakeholders to ensure alignment, resolve cross‑functional issues, and drive consistency in process and controls.
• Lead onboarding, conversions, and product launch activity Oversee operational readiness for new funds, complex product structures, and client‑driven change initiatives.
• Strengthen the control environment and risk culture Ensure robust oversight of key controls, manage audit interactions, and drive remediation of operational risk themes.
• Champion automation and digital transformation Promote adoption of digital tools, data‑driven solutions and AI‑enabled capabilities to reduce manual touchpoints and enhance operational resilience.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues Provide direction on break resolution, valuation challenges, and client‑impacting incidents, ensuring timely and transparent communication.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Extensive Fund Accounting expertise Deep understanding of NAV production, valuation methodologies, complex instruments, and accounting standards across mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative structures.
• Proven leadership of large, high‑performing operational teams Ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional client‑facing capability Demonstrated success influencing senior client stakeholders, managing complex discussions, and navigating competing priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Advanced degrees or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
