Job summary

Optum is seeking a Director, Data Analytics & Applied AI Solutions to lead data, analytics, automation and AI initiatives within Clinical Solutions Risk Adjustment & Quality. The role focuses on moving ideas into production, driving measurable operational and quality impact, and partnering across tech, product and business teams.

The director will shape solution direction, define metrics and governance, and manage a high-performing, inclusive data and analytics team, delivering value at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Proven experience leading BI, reporting, dashboards, data quality and analytics delivery.
• Proven experience leading or partnering in AI/ML, automation, advanced analytics or agentic solutions from proof of concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Operations roadmap for data, analytics, automation and applied AI.
• Drive AI/ML, predictive analytics, automation and LLM-enabled solutions from idea to production and adoption.
• Lead BI, reporting, analytics, data management and decision-support capabilities.
