Job summary

The Panel in Dublin is seeking a senior security specialist to own the security and governance behind its digital assets business. This gatekeeper role decides whether new blockchain-based investment products are secure enough to launch and maintains security post-launch.

You should have hands-on experience in regulated financial services, strong knowledge of blockchain risk, third-party security assessments, and familiarity with MiCA and DORA.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience securing digital asset or tokenisation products in a regulated financial services setting.
• Strong understanding of blockchain risk, including key management, custody, wallets and smart contract vulnerabilities.
• Experience building and running security control frameworks and risk assessments.
• Track record assessing the security of third parties such as custodians, exchanges and technology platforms.
• Knowledge of EU regulatory landscape for digital assets, MiCA and DORA.
• Ability to present recommendations to senior committees and engage with audit and regulators.

A global financial services organisation is building out its digital assets business and needs a senior security specialist in Dublin to own the security and governance behind it. This is a gatekeeper role: you will decide whether new blockchain-based investment products are secure enough to launch, and keep them that way once they are live. It suits someone who has secured digital assets inside a regulated environment, not a pure blockchain developer or a generalist security manager.

What the role needs

• Hands-on experience securing digital asset or tokenisation products in a regulated financial services setting
• Strong understanding of blockchain risk, including key management, custody, wallets and smart contract vulnerabilities
• Experience building and running security control frameworks and risk assessments
• Track record assessing the security of third parties such as custodians, exchanges and technology platforms
• Working knowledge of the EU regulatory landscape for digital assets, including MiCA and DORA
• The confidence to present recommendations to senior committees and to engage with audit and regulators

Also useful
