Job summary

Softest Consulting Services Limited in Dublin is recruiting a highly skilled DevOps Solution Architect for a rolling contract with one of Ireland’s leading banks. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate.

You will design end-to-end cloud-based solutions on AWS, ensure scalable and cost-efficient architectures, and lead DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of IT experience with 5-10 years in cloud engineering and DevOps.
• Strong experience in DevOps architecture and cloud-native solutions.
• Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture and technical solutions for BOI aligned with business requirements.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Analyze and understand the existing BOI architecture across On-Premises and Cloud platforms.
• Define integration strategies between legacy systems and modern cloud architectures.
• Design and implement solutions using AWS services and best practices.
• Optimize cloud solutions for performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Our client, one of Ireland’s leading banks, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Solution Architect to work in Dublin, Ireland.

What You’ll Love:

What you are expected to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with
• Minimum 10-15 years of overall IT experience and 5-10 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering and DevOps.
• Strong experience in DevOps architecture and cloud-native solutions
• Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture patterns
• Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies

  You are will do:

  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using:
  • Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence
  • Apply containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration.

  Security & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce security architecture, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.

  Documentation & Presentation

  • Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations to communicate architecture and solutions.
  • Document solution designs, standards, and processes.

  Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present solutions in architecture governance forums such as:
  • Architecture Review Board (ARB)
  • CDA (Cloud/Data/Design Authority)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
