Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, networking, security and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, applications, data and integration domains.
• Review and challenge High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), interface specifications and vendor submissions.
• Provide end-to-end technical design assurance, assessing dependencies, data flows, operational impacts and technical risks.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, resilience, governance and service management standards.
• Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, decision records, technical roadmaps, interface catalogues and target-state architectures.
• Coordinate technical decisions across suppliers, delivery teams, security, networks and operational support functions.
• Support cloud architecture, environment design, integration assurance and production readiness activities.
• Present technical recommendations, risks and options to architecture and governance forums.
• Support release planning, disaster recovery, resilience testing and operational transition activities.

eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Technical Architect. This is a day rateposition located with our client in Dublin 1.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join a large-scale national digital transformation programme that is modernising a highly visible customer-facing service platform.
This role will suit an architect who combines strong technical depth with the ability to challenge supplier designs, provide technical governance, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and supportable in a live operational environment.
Working across multiple technology partners and internal stakeholders, you will provide architecture leadership across cloud, networking, security, applications, data and integrations while helping shape the future direction of a complex enterprise platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, applications, data and integration domains.

About You

You will be a well-rounded Architect with broad technical experience across enterprise environments and the ability to bridge strategy, architecture and delivery.
You will ideally possess:

• 10+ years’ experience in Solution, Technical or Enterprise Architecture roles.
• Strong AWS cloud architecture experience.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and modern application design.
• Experience reviewing and governing complex integration and API-led solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, networking, security and distributed systems.
• Experience working within large-scale multi-vendor environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong technical governance, design assurance and risk management experience.

Desirable Experience

• AWS certifications and/or TOGAF certification.
• Knowledge of IoT-connected environments.
• Experience within transport, payments, utilities, financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
• Understanding of GDPR, PCI-DSS, cyber security and operational resilience frameworks.
