Job summary

Collen Construction is seeking an experienced professional with an architectural qualification and strong on-site design/construction background to support project delivery in Ireland. The role demands 5-10 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of construction regulations and multidisciplinary coordination.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will lead design coordination, communicate with the client and internal teams, and oversee risk management and progress reporting on

Qualifications

• Architectural qualification and background required.
• Design/Construction on site experience essential.
• 5-10 years' experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a platform for communication between Architects, Structural Engineers and Service Engineers on Collen projects.
• Ensure design development is communicated with Collen CM and QS from a financial aspect.
• Lead workshops with specialist Sub-Contractors and coordinate submissions and approvals.
• Identify and resolve risk/design issues with the Design Team before they materialize.
• Plan and coordinate with site PM/SM to align all parties and schedules.
• Demonstrate strong planning, programme skills and knowledge across disciplines.
• Apply understanding of building regulations BCAR, TGD, environmental health and safety regulations.
• Attend site meetings and report progress with clear negotiations and presentations.

Key responsibilities:

• Have good commercial and contractual awareness.
• Hold and Lead workshop meetings with specialist Sub-Contractor.
• Coordinate and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring Client Rep sign off and approval.
• Look at risk/design problems by finding solutions with our Design Team before they materialize.
• Plan and co-ordinate with site PM and SM making sure all parties are aligned.
• Have good planning and programme skills.
• Should have a good all-round knowledge of the construction industry across all disciplines including technical aspects of design and construction details etc.
• Should have a good understanding of building regulations BCAR, TGD, environmental - health and Safety regulations.
• Attend Site Meetings and report on progress.
• Good negotiating and presentation skills.
