Job summary

Daffodil Care Services in Shanballymore, Co. Cork, is seeking a Deputy Social Care Manager to lead our residential care team and drive the quality of care for young people.

The role requires a Level 8 Social Care degree (or Level 7 with a management qualification) and 3 years’ experience in social care, plus a current driving license. We offer salary commensurate with experience and on-call allowances.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 degree in Social Care with 3 years’ experience working in a social care role with young people.
• Level 7 in Social Care with a relevant management qualification and 3 years’ experience in a social care grade.
• Strong experience empowering others to achieve.
• Positive, flexible, problem-solving attitude with empathy and maturity.
• Current full clean Driving License before commencement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to the social care team.
• Oversee delivery of care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support service development and continuous improvement.

About the role

The successful candidate will possess:

• A minimum level 8 degree in Social Care and 3 years’ experience of working in a social care grade with young people

OR

• Level 7 in Social Care and a relevant management qualification and 3 years’ experience of working at a social care grade with young people.

• Strong experience in and demonstrated ability to empower others to achieve.

• Personal attributes of positivity, flexibility and problem-solving attitude as well as empathy and maturity are essential.

• A current full clean Driving License prior to commencement of employment.
