Job summary

Alexandra Dental Practice in Mayo is seeking a friendly Dental Nurse to join our supportive team across Ballina, Castlebar and Claremorris. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, providing chairside assistance and performing reception duties as needed.

You will maintain infection control, assist with radiographs and keep accurate patient records, while upholding health and safety standards. Training and ongoing development are supported within our practice.

Qualifications

• Friendly and enthusiastic team player with good communication.
• Experience or ability to perform reception duties and appointment scheduling.
• Willingness to work across multiple clinics and maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Reception duties and appointment scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilisation of clinical areas and equipment.
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure required instruments are available.
• Ensure patient care and welfare.
• Accurately complete patient clinical records.
• Follow health and safety policies including PPE and infection control.
• Develop and file radiographs.
• Manage laboratory requests and stock supplies.
• Liaise with reception for patient communications.
• Attend practice meetings and participate in training.
