Job summary

Dentaltech Lab in Ireland is seeking a seasoned Dental CAD Technician for Dentures and Crown & Bridge. You will design full and partial dentures and crowns using 3Shape and Exocad, coordinating with clinicians and our remote technicians.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in digital dentistry in a busy lab, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication. This on-site role offers a dynamic, high-growth environment with opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive Digital Workflows: liaise between clinical team and digital manufacturing lab for 3D designs and printing.

We are hiring a Dental CAD Technician for Dentures and Crown & Bridge. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in digital dentistry in a busy commercial lab, designing dentures and crown and bridge cases, be a team player, have great attention to detail and be comfortable with communicating effectively with both clinicians as well team members.

Job Description

• Drive Digital Workflows: Serve as the primary bridge between the clinical team and the digital manufacturing lab, overseeing 3D designs, printing, and continuous innovation and supporting our remote technicians.
• Design 3D Restorations: Predominantly designing full and partial dentures, oversee designs from our remote technicians and redesign if needed and provide feedback to the technicians. Create Full Contour Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Splints, Veneers, Inlays/Onlays, Surgical Guides, Custom Abutments, Night Guards, Clear Aligners, and Partial Frameworks using 3Shape and Exocad, adapting quickly to new CAD/CAM software.
• Manage Equipment: Take full ownership of 3D printing operations. Efficiently operate, clean, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on CAD/CAM equipment, including printers and curing machines.
• Optimize Production: Proactively identify workflow bottlenecks and implement effective solutions to streamline operations.
• Innovate & Research: Spearhead projects to advance digital dentistry capabilities, research cutting-edge materials, and establish best practices for fabrication.
• Ensure Quality Control: Maintain strict attention to detail so that high‑quality designs consistently meet exact specifications and superior standards.
• Apply Technical Expertise: Utilize a deep understanding of dental anatomy, terminology, and morphology across all daily design tasks.
• Troubleshoot Independently: Resolve case issues proactively and troubleshoot effectively using strong critical thinking skills.
• Communicate Effectively: Use excellent written and verbal skills to interact professionally with clinical providers and staff at all levels.
