Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care. We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home in North Dublin.

This role is open to applicants with EU/EEA citizenship or a valid right to work in Ireland. Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time. Hours: 37.5-39 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of elder care experience.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or a Nursing/Allied Health degree is desirable; fully funded QQI Level 5 training available.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality, holistic care that maintains each resident's dignity and equality.
• Perform delegated care tasks and assist with activities of daily living (washing, toileting, dressing, dining, social engagement, communication).
• Maintain residents' privacy and dignity while encouraging independence.
• Provide focused assistance to residents with reduced mobility.
• Follow individual care plans and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Report any incident or potential risk affecting health or safety.
• Help ensure a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with residents and their families or representatives.
• Support and enhance resident activities and events.
