Job summary

SimoTech in Cork seeks a Senior DeltaV Automation Engineer to support a major pharmaceutical client, delivering a DeltaV Operate to DeltaV Live migration across a large manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in DeltaV automation, strong HMI/graphics design, and experience in GMP/GAMP environments. This role offers autonomy and exposure to capital projects within a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years DeltaV automation engineering experience.
• Experience with DeltaV graphics, control modules, and alarm management.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (GxP).

Responsibilities

• Support DeltaV Operate to DeltaV Live migration strategy and validation planning.
• Provide technical leadership for migration across a large manufacturing environment.
• Drive standardisation and automated development within the migration process.
• Assess existing site systems, map migration plan and define complexity.
• Design intuitive graphics aligned to ISA-101 standards.
• Lead the configuration of DeltaV Live graphics and faceplates.
• Plan and execute phased migration activities with minimal downtime.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and overall system validation.
• Minimise disruption to operations during change.
• Set up parallel DeltaV Operate/Live environments during migration.
• Ensure adherence to QA and site functions during migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and train end users.
