Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Dublin-based team. The role focuses on DeltaV DCS design, implementation, and validation across New Product Introductions, with close CQV collaboration and on-site support in Ireland.

Candidates should bring 5+ years DeltaV experience, strong leadership skills, and comfort working in fast-paced pharma-related projects. The team emphasizes adherence to standards and reusable library modules throughout projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years DeltaV experience with prior site work.
• Experience designing and programming DeltaV control systems.
• Experience with S88 batch process control in (Bio)Pharma.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating resources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of automation software and hardware to fit NPI schedules for FAT, on-site SAT, commissioning and validation.
• Support CQV teams in shakedown and verification of DeltaV software.
• Design, code and test DeltaV software changes identified during commissioning.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to ensure on-time deliverables for milestones.
• Ensure standards and library modules are followed consistently.
