Job summary

Café Sol, part of Dunnes Stores, is seeking a Delivery Driver to load, transport, and deliver freshly prepared produce to our Dublin stores on time. You will support loading/unloading, stick to routes and schedules, and uphold safety standards while delivering friendly service.

Applicants should hold a Full clean European driving licence, be flexible with early starts (AM), weekends, and maintain good English communication and interpersonal skills.

Our kiosks are small coffee shops, located throughout Dublin 2 and Dublin 7 where customers can enjoy quality food and great coffee in a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. Our team place a huge emphasis on the quality of coffee, as well as the level of service provided to our customers. At Café Sol we produce all our freshly made products each morning in our production unit in Dublin 2.

Suitable candidates should have some experience of working in a similar environment / operation, be motivated, have excellent customer care skills, be confident communicators and have a passion for helping people. As a Delivery driver, you should be willing to learn and develop yourself, have a desire to succeed and to contribute to our positive team environment as well as promoting our unique brand, with a passion for providing a high quality service.

Delivery drivers will have the following responsibilities:

• Loading, transporting, and delivering freshly prepared produce to our stores in a safe, timely manner.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• To adhere to specifications, standards and procedures while at work.
• Provide a fast, friendly and efficient level of customer service.

Requirements:

• Full clean European driving licence.
• Flexibility is a must for the role, as shifts may require AM (5am) starts, to work up to 5 days over 7, weekends inclusive.
• A good level of written and spoken English and a professional and polite manner.
• Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hard-working and flexible, with the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.
