Job summary

Excel Recruitment are seeking a Deli Manager/ Deli Supervisor to lead a busy fresh foods department in West Cork. This role offers an hourly rate of €15-€19 DOE and the opportunity to develop a high performing team in a thriving retail business.

You will drive standards in food quality, HACCP compliance, customer service and operational excellence, while managing stock, margins and KPIs. Previous deli management experience and strong leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous deli management or fresh food leadership experience in retail.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the deli team.
• Ensure excellent food quality, freshness and presentation standards.
• Drive sales, margins and waste control targets.
• Manage stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
• Ensure HACCP, food safety and health & safety compliance at all times.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive customer experience.
• Monitor department KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Train and develop team members to maximise performance.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
