Job summary

Centra in Ireland is seeking a deli associate to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction remains the priority. You will handle sandwiches, rolls, hot foods and sliced meats, keeping displays immaculate while maintaining food safety standards.

The role requires a team player who thrives in a busy environment, can multi-task, and shares a passion for quality food with customers. Full training provided and holiday pay are included.

Qualifications

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for food and ability to inspire shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas—sandwiches, rolls, hot food and sliced meats.
• Ensure counter displays in all fresh food departments are kept to the highest standards.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
• Deal with customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.

Main purpose of the role:
Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.

  Main duties:

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store`sportion control measures
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
