Job summary

UPMC Ireland invites applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager II, Day Ward at the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin. The role partners with the Theatre Manager to deliver proactive, patient-centered care and to drive quality standards across the Day Ward.

As CNM2 you will lead and develop the nursing team, implement evidence-based practices, and oversee staffing, governance, and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
• Have at least five years post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of three years recent nursing experience in a relevant area.
• Hold a management qualification or be in pursuit of one; willing to undertake.
• Previous management experience would be an advantage.
• Possess well-developed leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Orthopaedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Day Ward in collaboration with Theatre Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Provide professional leadership and vision; facilitate team building and planned care.
• Maintain high quality standards and support accreditation.
• Develop staff engagement and participate in change management.
• Ensure all staff are proficient in patient care management.
• Audit nursing practice and patient satisfaction; plan duty rosters to balance skill mix.
