Job summary

The Orchard Care Group is seeking caring individuals to join our Day Services team. You will support people to participate in activities on-site and in the community, promoting independence and person-centred care.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 7 qualification, experience with intellectual disabilities and autism, and a valid Irish driving license. Monday to Friday schedule, with a 39-hour week and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualification in relevant discipline (level 7 minimum).
• Ability to develop and maintain support/care plans on a person-centred basis.
• Experience working with intellectual disabilities and autism.
• Full driving license with eligibility to drive in Ireland.
• Genuine passion for working with service users with intellectual disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and team-based work.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts.
• Eligible to work in the state without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live their best lives and promote independence.
• Assist with activities on-site (gardening, arts/crafts) and organise day trips in the community.
• Communicate regularly with MDT and families of service users.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5:00pm, 39 hours per week.
