Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association Mayo is offering a developmental opportunity at our day centre in the region. No prior experience is required, and accredited training will be provided to support your career pathway.

You will assist with activities for members with physical and/or sensory disabilities, including organising programmes, escorting to and from the centre by bus, helping with meals and personal care, and carrying out light cleaning duties. Garda vetting and references will be requested.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Garda vetting to be completed.
• References to be supplied.
• Opportunity to obtain QQI qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support day centre services for members with disabilities.
• Encourage active participation in programmes.
• Escort members to and from the centre by bus.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Assist with meals and light refreshments.
