Job summary

Oliver James Associates Ltd. in North Dublin is seeking a Data Systems Analyst at associate level to help expand and maintain our data platform. The role sits in the Data and Infrastructure team and involves evolving pipelines and supporting broader infrastructure initiatives.

You will own Python-based ETL pipelines, develop scripts for data ingestion and automation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions in a hybrid setup after probation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical Python experience in a professional, placement or project-focused environment.
• A degree in computer science, data engineering, data science or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Python, particularly for data manipulation, automation and scripting.
• Experience working with REST APIs, including consuming APIs, handling authentication and errors, and building integrations.
• Good working knowledge of SQL, including querying, validating and investigating data.
• Confidence reading and understanding unfamiliar or existing code, with the ability to work effectively within an established technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve pipeline and data issues, taking ownership of troubleshooting and identifying practical solutions.

• Produce clear documentation that can be understood by both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes using tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps and n8n.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop practical, data-driven solutions.

About the Role

You'll join the Data and Infrastructure team at an associate level at an exciting stage of its development. The team is actively expanding its data platform, and this role will play a key part in maintaining and evolving our data pipelines while supporting wider infrastructure initiatives.

Experience
