Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Data Science Expert – AI Content Specialist to shape how advanced AI systems think and reason. You will design challenges, author gold-standard solutions, and audit AI-generated code across PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit‑Learn in a fully remote, flexible contract role.

Candidates bring deep knowledge of ML, statistical inference, NLP, and big data technologies, plus strong written communication to document results and guide model behavior asynchronously.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field (Master's pursuing/completed or PhD).
• Deep domain expertise in supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP.
• Strong analytical writing skills — translate complex algorithmic concepts and statistical results into clear explanations.
• Exceptional attention to detail — catch errors in code syntax, notation, and conclusions.
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously.
• No prior AI or annotation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Challenges: create rigorous domain-specific data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions: develop comprehensive, step-by-step solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations.
• Audit AI-Generated Code: critically evaluate AI outputs across libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow — assess technical accuracy, efficiency, and best practices.
• Refine AI Reasoning: identify flawed logic in AI responses — data leakage, overfitting, improper handling of imbalanced datasets — and deliver structured feedback that improves model reasoning.
• Document Failure Modes: systematically capture edge cases and reasoning breakdowns to help research teams harden model behavior.

• Design Advanced Challenges: Create rigorous, domain‑specific data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross‑validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more — problems that genuinely push AI to its limits
• Author Ground‑Truth Solutions: Develop comprehensive, step‑by‑step solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that serve as the gold standard for AI evaluation
• Audit AI‑Generated Code: Critically evaluate AI outputs across libraries like Scikit‑Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow — assessing technical accuracy, efficiency, and best practices
• Refine AI Reasoning: Identify flawed logic in AI responses — data leakage, overfitting, improper handling of imbalanced datasets — and deliver structured feedback that directly improves model reasoning

Who You Are
