Job summary

Vodafone Ireland is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive governance, data management and quality across the organisation. You will partner with business units to establish ownership, definitions and governance standards for critical data domains, enabling trusted data products and AI use cases.

You will lead governance tooling adoption (Collibra) and collaborate with risk, privacy and IT teams to ensure alignment with GDPR and security standards, while championing data as a strategic asset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or implementing Data Governance initiatives within a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of Data Quality Management, metadata management, data ownership and stewardship.
• Ability to translate governance concepts into practical business outcomes and drive alignment across business and technology teams.
• Experience building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders to prioritise governance initiatives.
• Understanding of GDPR, privacy, security and group governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vodafone Ireland's Data Governance roadmap and evolve governance capabilities.
• Build a community of Data Owners and Data Stewards across the business.
• Define trusted data definitions, metadata and governance standards for key data domains.
• Improve data quality and embed proactive management of data quality risks.
• Enable trusted, well-governed data products for reporting, data products and AI use cases.
• Drive adoption of data governance tooling and capabilities, including Collibra.
• Promote a culture where data is a strategic asset and ownership resides in business functions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to prioritise governance initiatives and maximise business value.
