Job summary

Publichealth invites applications for the Data & GIS Specialist on the Public Health Knowledge Hub (PHKH) team. This fixed-term, full-time role is offered in partnership with Trinity College Dublin and Ulster University, with locations in Dublin or Belfast.

You will collate, manage, process and analyse data to produce high-quality datasets and clear outputs that support PHKH. You will present findings to a non-technical audience and contribute to governance, data ethics, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data management and analysis.
• Experience with large datasets: cleaning, transforming, and handling.
• Geospatial data management and spatial analysis experience.
• Ability to interpret data and produce clear outputs for decision making.
• Experience producing data visualisations and summaries.
• Ability to present and communicate to non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Do

The Data & GIS Specialist will play a key role in data collation, management, processing, and analysis, ensuring high-quality, well-structured datasets and producing clear, actionable outputs to support the Public Health Knowledge Hub (PHKH).

What You Bring

At least 3 yrs of relevant experience in data management and analysis, with consolidated experience in:

• data management, cleaning and transformation of large datasets,
• data handling and manipulation
• geospatial data management and spatial analysis
• analysis and interpretation of data
• producing data visualisations and summaries
• presenting and communicating to a non-technical audience
