Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead teams delivering enterprise data onboarding and scalable pipelines on the Palmos platform. You will provide technical leadership and drive adoption of data mesh principles across domains.

You will enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases by delivering trusted data assets, ensuring security and governance, and guiding multi-team delivery across the Enterprise Platforms organization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and scaling data engineering teams.
• Hands-on Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data mesh and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD and SDLC practices.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and coaching for data engineering teams delivering onboarding and pipelines.
• Lead onboarding of enterprise datasets into Palmos, enabling standardized ingestion and publishing.
• Own delivery of scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Spark and cloud-native tech.
• Align with data mesh principles including domain ownership, self-service, and federated governance.
• Drive collaboration across platform, domain, governance and business teams to execute complex work.
• Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, quality, observability, and reusable patterns.
• Implement data security, entitlements and governance controls for enterprise data.
• Enable downstream analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases with high-quality data.
