Intact Insurance Ireland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using SQL Server and SAS, and to build ETL pipelines within a hub-and-spoke analytics environment. The role reports to the Head of DataOps and focuses on data quality, performance tuning, BI reporting with SSRS/Power BI, and collaboration with business stakeholders across offices in Dublin, Belfast, Galway.

Hybrid work arrangements in a multi-office setup are supported.

Competenze

• 3–5 years in a data engineering or closely related role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS).
• Experience with SAS and BI reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and data quality skills.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL Server and SAS.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in SSMS.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
• Manage and tune SQL Server databases for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Perform data analysis and validation to support reporting and decision-making.
• Monitor and resolve data-related issues and system bottlenecks.
