Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, located in Dublin, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines that feed our Enterprise Data Lake and Data Warehouse. You will work with PySpark on AWS Glue, Kafka Connect, and Kinesis Firehose, forming data-driven solutions across multiple data domains.

You will collaborate with data science, learning science, and product teams to build analytics capabilities, curate datasets, and deliver business intelligence dashboards, while improving internal

Competenze

• ETL or data processing and orchestration experience.
• Experience in python, java – spring boot would be beneficial.
• AWS stack experience on a variety of the following services – VPC, Glue, s3, Lambda, Lake Formation, Athena, IAM.
• Experience in CI/CD tooling and terraform.
• Experience in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Kubernetes experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Mansioni

• Implement data pipelines to populate our Enterprise Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse using PySpark on AWS Glue, Kafka Connect, and Kinesis Firehose.
• Improve data infrastructure (AWS) using deployment tools such as Terraform and Concourse.
• Collaborate with data science, learning science and product teams to develop data analytics capabilities, curate datasets and build BI dashboards.
• Automate and improve internal processes.
• Proactively apply best practices and bring ideas to improve technology practices, standards and methodologies.
