Job summary

AXIS Capital in Ireland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team within the Platforms & Transformation group. You will apply SQL, Excel and data modelling to define data products, ensure data quality and support BI initiatives.

Collaborate with Data Architecture, Insights and AI teams to design outputs, establish metrics and lead QA testing during UAT. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in data engineering; strong communication and teamwork are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills.
• Experience with data modelling, governance and quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define data products and data lineage with business teams.
• Design current and future data flows with Data Architecture.
• Collaborate with Data Insights and AI teams to shape outputs.
• Lead QA testing during UAT and support live data products.
• Work on data quality improvements and metrics.
