Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced Project Lead for a flagship data centre project in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. You will oversee cost, schedule, and delivery, coordinating subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget outcomes.

The role demands leadership, commercial acumen, and strong communication, with a focus on design-build changes, procurement, and client handover.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other core project management tools.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate multidisciplinary project activities.
• Commercially astute with a solid grasp of project financial management and cost control.
• Capable of performing under pressure to meet demanding schedules while upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project cost, schedule, and budget from inception through to completion.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution of all project activities.
• Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent delays and ensure timely delivery.
• Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing structures, and scopes of work.
• Lead and facilitate client meetings alongside other essential project coordination gatherings.
• Monitor and report on variables influencing construction costs, providing data-driven insights.
• Apply knowledge of procurement methods and manage long-lead equipment delivery schedules.
• Review, validate, and audit cost estimates prepared by subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Support engineering and design decisions regarding cost and budget adjustments during design-build changes.
• Track and verify equipment availability against the project schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee scheduling consultant reviews, ensuring integration with project controls.
• Review and approve invoices, payment applications, and retention payments.
• Manage the client handover process, including close-out documentation, warranties, and final deliverables.
