Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the Rack Power fleet in a fast-paced data center environment in Ireland. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and improve high-availability power systems while partnering with service owners and hardware teams to reduce incidents.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, data center experience, and a strong track record in commissioning, testing, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience in industrial/commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Experience in commissioning and testing mechanical/electrical systems.
• Minimum three years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and support massive power distributed systems.
• Escalate complex issues and guide resolution with domain teams.
• Collaborate with service owners and hardware design teams.
• Drive operational efficiency via root-cause analysis, metrics, and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews to mitigate risks and improve changes.
