Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited seeks a Data Center Project Manager to oversee live data center projects, coordinating electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines. You will identify improvements from cross-team data and deploy innovative solutions to lower costs while maintaining reliability.

Ideal candidates will manage scope, timelines, budgets, and vendor collaboration, traveling to sites for engineering evaluations and capacity planning within their region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Project management and oversight of construction related activities within a live data center.
• Delivery of project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Provide project management for initiatives increasing resiliency of data centers.
• Electrical design and review for optimization of existing data centers.
• Construction/project package drawing review.
• Creation of project scope, RFIs, and capital requests.
• Total project quality including execution oversight.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Concurrently manage multiple projects within existing data centers.
• Operational support including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root cause analyses of equipment or electrical failures.
• Work with contractors and vendors to deliver high quality turnovers.
• Be a leader within the group and across stakeholder teams.
• Travel to data center sites for evaluations and system audits.
