Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Data & Analytics Lead to drive the enterprise data function during a major SAP S/4HANA transformation in the pharma sector. The role requires leadership of analytics teams and direct collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, finance and IT leaders.

You will shape reporting, governance, and analytics capabilities, leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI and Tableau, with strong SQL/Python skills.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years' experience in Data Analytics, with leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with SAP / SAP S/4HANA (essential)
• Experience supporting an SAP implementation or migration
• Manufacturing background essential, ideally in Pharma/Biotech/MedTech or other regulated industry
• Proven experience building and managing a Data Analytics team (2–5+ people)
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across functions
• Experience with analytics/visualisation tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI or Tableau, plus SQL and/or Python

Responsibilities

• Lead development of an enterprise-wide data & analytics function during SAP transformation

Job description

I'm currently recruiting for a Data & Analytics Lead to join a leading organisation within the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector as they embark on a major SAP S/4HANA digital transformation.

Location: Loughrea, Co. Galway (Hybrid)

Please note: This role is based in Loughrea, Galway, so we're looking for candidates who are currently based in Ireland or are genuinely open to relocating to the Galway area. A strong motivation for both the role and the relocation will be an important part of the interview process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of an enterprise-wide data and analytics function while playing a key role in a business-critical SAP transformation.

What we're looking for:

• 5-8+ years' experience in Data Analytics, with previous leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with SAP / SAP S/4HANA (essential)
• Experience supporting an SAP implementation or migration
• Manufacturing background is essential, ideally within Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, or another highly regulated industry
• Proven experience building and managing a Data Analytics team (ideally leading teams of 2-5+)
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence across multiple business functions
• Experience with analytics and visualisation tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI or Tableau, along with SQL and/or Python
