Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is helping a leading investment bank in Ireland hire a Senior Data Analyst. You will partner with business and technology teams to capture data requirements, assess data gaps, and design enterprise data models for operational systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.

You will lead cross-functional projects, promote data API reuse, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and strategic technology choices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data design, analysis, and development, especially with PL/SQL and data loading tools/concepts.
• Proven expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), data API design/implementation, and data profiling.
• Demonstrable experience with SAP Power Designer or similar data modeling tools.
• Proficiency in database development, analytics, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technology partners to capture and analyse data requirements, assess data gaps, and recommend effective solutions.
• Design and document enterprise-level data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for operational systems, data warehouses, and lakes.
• Collaborate closely with DBAs, architects, and subject area owners to create scalable, sustainable data models and drive adoption of enterprise standards.
• Take technical leadership on multiple cross-functional projects and solve complex data issues, ensuring resilient and practical data solutions.
• Promote use and re-use of common data APIs and ensure technology choices align with their enterprise strategy.
