Job summary

Cpl Group in Dublin City Centre is hiring a Cloud Engineer – Data Act on a 2-year contract. Hybrid work model with a Dublin-based team and regulatory focus on EU Data Act compliance.

You will support market investigations, compliance testing and industry disputes by delivering cloud engineering insights, automation tooling, and infrastructure work across Azure and GCP. Candidates should have 3+ years managing cloud workloads, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps experience, plus

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification (NFQ Level 7/8) in Cloud Services, Engineering or STEM.
• 3+ years of operational experience managing cloud workloads with Azure services (AKS, Virtual WAN, Cosmos DB, Entra ID).
• Working knowledge of GCP core services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and OpenStack familiarity.
• Strong technical drafting and communication skills for reports.
• Experience in regulated or public sector environments.
• Familiarity with AI workloads and custom computing platforms.
• Professional certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Technical Analysis: provide cloud engineering insights for market investigations and regulatory papers.
• Tool Development: build infrastructure, automate tools and testing systems for compliance.
• Compliance Investigation: audit entities against Data Act standards.
• Engagement: contribute to briefing papers and present evidence to government and EU bodies.
